Welcome
Fort Benton, rich in history, is the county seat of Chouteau County, the largest small-grain producing county in Montana. The traditional agriculture and livestock economic base combine with the newer tourist related businesses to contribute to the Fort Benton business climate.
Hotel and motel accommodations, fine dining and a downtown area steeped in history are easily accessible by way of a trail that follows the Missouri River and its scenic beauty as it meanders through Fort Benton.
Signal Point Golf Course, overlooking Fort Benton, offers a challenging nine-hole public course. Fort Benton also offers an outdoor swimming pool, two of the best museums in the west and beautiful park system. Picnic shelters in Old Fort Park are available for large or small groups. An outdoor recreation area next to the pool accommodates basketball, horseshoes, and tennis. Besides being the gateway to the Wild and Scenic Upper Missouri River, Fort Benton is located near to all of the spectacular scenery and historical sites of North Central Montana.
All in all, we can offer a wonderful destination for you, your family and colleagues.
